The ranch is a privately owned ranch that consists of thousands of acres. It is a well managed working cattle ranch. There is a year round creek flowing through the property. In the late 1800's there was an irrigation canal built by the Chinese to divert water from the creek along the ridge down and though the ranch. Water is then diverted by head gates to irrigate the hillsides and pastures, any run off water flows back into the creek system and is utilized once again. There is an abundant of natural food supply, green pastures, acorns, wild black berries, wild fruit trees and plenty of water make a fantastic hunting ranch we call Rawhide West.This is what sets our hunting ranch apart from the rest!
Remember "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GROCERIES" and with our correctly managed ranch the game is here to stay. Too much pressure equals very little game and makes for unhappy hunters. Our hunters are amazed when they see on average 50 to 100 hogs a day. We take only 50 boars per year from the ranch, and shoot only boars that comply with our management program. So come hunt with us and enjoy what we call Rawhide West!
